I can attest to the frequent repairs, I do have an older system. I’m trying to decide if I should get this other repair or just flat out buy a new system. I have experienced those inefficiencies you mentioned.

I can see how an older, worn out air conditioner has to work harder to cool your home. Not to mention that it probably breaks down exponentially faster from there since it’s working so much harder. The electric bill probably keeps going up from there too! Thanks for the ideas of things to look out for in an old, possibly worn out AC unit.
